Chalet Wyssbirg Wengen - Appartement

The villa had excellent view, all required utensils were available for our cooking needs, dishwasher tabs were provided. They were very kind to provide free shuttle service as we had luggage. Stay is very near to wengen railway station, thank you Rachel and alpine holidays team for your support:)

We had a wonderful stay with Alpine Holidays. The chalet was clean and exactly as pictured. We had everything we needed and found the Alpine Holiday staff to be friendly and helpful.

Our family loved being able to open the doors to the deck and enjoy sitting outside and the breathtaking scenery from the chalet. A short walk to the church also provided a wonderful view of the mountains and valley. This is just what we had hoped for in a Swiss alpine chalet.

We had a really great time staying in Chalet Wyssbirg. The views are amazing, the garden is brilliant for children, and there is plenty of space in the apartment. The location is also very convenient for ski school and the shops of Wengen, and isn’t far from the train station either. Alpine Holiday Services also looked after us really well! Would highly recommend.

We stayed 3 nights as a family of four abcs this was the perfect chalet for our visit. It is fairly close to the train station with a good balcony view. it was well stocked with everything you will need, we used the kitchen for dinner multiple nights. The washer/dryer combo is convenient, although the dry cycle does take some time. Check in/ out using the automated box at the office near the train station was a breeze.

The split level apartment is spacious for a family. We liked the ability to either sit out on the balcony or on the spacious garden decking area. The location is great for the train station (less than 10 minutes walk) and especially the Männlichen cable car. Moreover it is relatively flat walk. Despite shops and restaurants being within a 10 minute walk, you felt that you were in a very rural, peaceful location.
The apartment was comfortable, very modern, well-furnished, immaculately clean and well stocked with amenities and facilities.
Check-in was very simple and the staff at Alpine Holiday Services very helpful and always on-hand.
Definitely recommended if you are staying in Wengen and find hotel prices off-putting and/or like self-catering.

Chalet Wyssbirg is a very nice stay. It's two stories, with a large living room on top, and the two bedrooms below. It has very nice finishings, two very nice bathrooms, and a full kitchen. Views are quite nice as well. Btw, just next door is a church and it has several benches outside that have the best view of the valley, hands down. Grab a book and enjoy. :)

We loved this sweet Chalet in Wengen - super convenient to the gondola and train, but felt you were far away with the view of the alps. The unit is impeccable - clean, well-stocked with everything functioning well.

The chalet is in a beautiful location, near the central area. Perfect with children, as we are few minutes away from the meeting points for the ski classes. The appartment is spacious, well equipped and modern. I am a light sleeper and the church bells didn't bother me. I would love to come back.

The apartment is in a great location for the Männlichen cable car and an easy walk to the train station. It was spotlessly clean, check-in was easy and communication excellent. I would certainly consider returning in the winter. It was a bit cosy for 5 plus a baby but would be perfect for two couplesa family. Worth keeping in mind that it is next to the church so maybe not ideal if the bells bother you!

We stayed at Alpine Holidays for 5 days. It is very clean place and very thoughtfully furnished. The apartment offers everything that you need for a comfortable stay. The location is convenient with easy access to the restaurants and grocery stores. The views are fantastic. It is located close to church and you do hear the church bell. However, it did not bother us. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

It’s a split level chalet with the main floor having a kitchen, dining, and living space and bedrooms down below. Also, two bathrooms, which were both very clean, and the one downstairs was very spacious, with a nice bathtub. Love Switzerland, has amazing fresh drinking water and the chalet had great water pressure and hot water. The place is spacious and well laid out. Lots of windows and natural light. We stayed almost a week and often cooked at the chalet. If you plan to eat out a lot - almost everywhere you go that is considered “moderately” priced will be about 25 CHF a person, and of course double that if you eat anywhere fancy. We shopped almost daily at the Coop - just be aware that it closes at 6:30 pm and is not open on Sundays. The kitchen was nice for cooking food in, and yay there was a dishwasher and detergent pods were left for us to use, which was nice. We even used the fondue pot one night which was fun. I suggest buyingbringing your own nespresso pods so you can enjoy the coffee maker during your stay. We couldn’t quite figure out the dryer, how long were the clothes supposed to dry, we tried a couple hours and then ended up hanging them on the line still damp. But having a washer is great, the laundry room was also large and easy for managing a family’s laundry. We loved the terrace in front of the bedrooms. Our kids enjoyed playing out in the grass in front of the mountains. It’s a nice place to enjoy some coffeemeals. The location is great - seems like most of Wengen is a good location. But some places may require some hilly treks to the train station. From this chalet, it was a very easy walk, our kids didn’t have any problem. I think it’s about 6-7 minutes for adults, 10 minutes for little kids. Next door is a cute little church and a pasture with sheep all wearing bells. The bells ring every hour, but it didn’t affect our sleep. I think this a great place to stay for families. One room had twin beds with a third rollaway bed option. My kids loved their room and liked reading all the comic novels off the bookshelves. Our favorite things we did during our week - hike at Shynigge Platte (several different trail lengths). And the hikes at Mürren starting from Allmendhubel (best kids playground ever - Flower Park - is on top of Allmendhubel). Mannlichen to Kleine Scheidegg is a popular hike close by and easy as well. I would rank it thirdso for the hikes we did. My husband enjoyed the journey to Schilthorn. I enjoyed the views from Brig station even more than the summit. Switzerland is an amazing country, everywhere you look is another magnificent view. I think anyone who stays at the chalet will have a nice experience. I wish we had gotten the Jungfrau train pass. We did the half-fare, so we still saved money, but with the great weather we had and all the trains we ended up taking, we could have saved money with the Jungfrau pass.

(5min walk from train station) but very quiet and secluded. Good view into the valley with a lovely balcony, patio, and yard. Perfect condition, and Rachel was so helpful and responsive!

Worked well for us as a family of 5. All the amenities etc were great. The location is also very good - wengen is small and this is near the center. Only 2 issues - it's part of a condo so there are other families very near you and two the view is nice but not uncluttered. Oh and one more thing - it's next to a church. So if you are a light sleeper and the bell wakes you up - like I am - that can be an issue.

Nice place in wengen. Clean place with all kitchen essentials for cooking. Includes spices , olive oil etc.

The location could not have been better. The apartment is very nicely furnished and Rachel was always very helpful. Very recommendable if someone wants to have an enjoyable trip to Wengen.

We enjoyed cooking dinner at home and having a few wines on the balcony looking out over the mountains. I travelled with my husband, baby, and parents. I wouldn’t recommend this place for people with young children as there are very steep stairs between levels and the TV cabinet is pretty unstable. I would however for two adult couples staying together.

Rachel was very welcoming when we arrived. She was also helpful during our stay via Airbnb app and in person during office hours. Check in and out was seamless, especially with the office being so close to the train station and by the Coop grocery. Beautiful location with porch and huge windows to enjoy it from both floors! Kitchen was well supplied, allowing us to comfortably cook some meals. 2 full bathrooms, one with 2 vanities! Plenty of empty storage space for personal items along with separate laundry room was great to store luggage out of bedrooms. Traveled as a family of 5: parents and 3 young 20s adults. Wi-fi was available, however, it was very slow. Not a problem for us, since we had rented a traveler's wifi and picked up at the information center in town so we all would have data especially for using SBB app. (It worked great!) We highly recommend working with Rachel and staying at the Chalet Wyssbirg in Wengen!

If you are choosing between Wengenthe other Jungfrau villages, this is the one to choose. This chalet was very private, yet close to all the amenities and charm of the village. The views are jaw dropping. It is a great size for 4-5 people (we had 5 adults). The location is close to all activities and public transportation. Rachel is very helpful and responds very quickly when messaged through the Air BnB app.

It was fantastic to be able to come back to such a comfortable apartment after a hard day's walking. The decor is perfect - it is light, bright, and airy, and the views are magnificent, so much so, I had to take a picture each morning as I couldn't believe it! The apartment is very well appointed, with everything you will need - the huge downstairs bathroom with big bath was again a luxury after walking all day. The terrace and balcony are both complete sun traps, and great for enjoying drinks in the evening. We didn't want to leave and cannot wait to go back!!
