In addition to the Winter footpaths in and around Wengen, there are an abundance of other exciting walks to choose from.

 

Yellow marked hiking trails are for families of all ages with weather-resistant clothing and sturdy shoes whereas red/white marked mountain trails are intended for people who are proficient and comfortable with the mountains and have the appropriate equipment including clothes and shoes.

Staubbachbänkli

60 minutes round walk

Picturesque and predominantly flat walk to the "Staubbachbänkli" = waterfall bench. Very suitable for small children / pushchairs.More information and route description at Wengen Info.

Mönchsblick Walk Wengen

80 minutes

Enjoy stunning views down the valley of Lauterbrunnen and of the snowy Mönch mountain. The walk winds its way through Wengwald and past picturesque rural landscapes.

The Eiger Trail

The Eiger Trail is a mountain trail which starts from the Eigergletscher station above Kleine Scheidegg and follows along the foot of the famous Eiger North Wall until arriving down at Alpiglen. Enjoy breathtaking views along the way.

5 hrs - Lauterbrunnen - Männlichen

This hike from Lauterbrunnen to Männlichen via Wengen and Parwengi weaves upward mostly through forested areas. Deer and chamois can often be observed from the path on the second half of the walk. The last ascent is steep, but the rewarding view is fantastic on a clear day.

Jungfrau Eiger Walk

1 hr - Kleine Scheidegg - Eigergletscher

The Jungfrau Eiger Walk starts from Kleine Scheidegg and ascends up to the Eigergletscher. A great walk for those interested in the history of the Eiger North Face. The triumphs and tragedies of mountaineers are recorded on wooden panels at various intervals. There is also a large model illustrating routes that have been taken up the North Face; this is located in the small chapel on the Fallboden

3 hrs - Schiltwald - Staldenflu - Mettlenalp - Wengernalp

The Felix-Mendelssohn footpath from Schiltwald to Staldenflu above Mettlenalp to Wengernalp is a well sign-posted route with a long stretch through the forest. It is an interesting path and there are fantastic viewpoints along the way with one particular stunning view down to the Lauterbrunnen valley.
