    Description

    Make yourself at home in this generously sized Wengen apartment in Chalet Panorama. Light the wood burner and cosy up for those Winter evenings or enjoy the balcony and terrace with fantastic mountain views on those warm sunny Summer days.

    With 2-bedrooms, 1-bathroom, open concept living-dining-kitchen and utility room it is a great choice for up to 4 people. The master bedroom has a kingsize double bed (180x200cm) and the second bedroom has 2 single beds (2.x 80x200cm) which can also be put together to form a queensize double (160x200cm).

    The chalet is situated down the hill from the village center, a 550-meter walk. The last 100-meter tarmac path to reach the chalet is steep. Arrival in car limited Wengen is by cogwheel railway from the valley of Lauterbrunnen.

The depot is located adjacent to the Männlichen cable car within the shop and offers places for more than 1,000 skis, boards and boots.     This is an excellent apartment for anyone interested in a Wengen home base to explore the Swiss Alps. We did so much and it was all very easy with public transport. We enjoyed cooking in the house (including raclette and chocolate fondue) and having meals on the patio. There is a small waterfall on the back of the property that will lull you to each night if you leave the windows open. The climb up to the train each day is in fact steep, but excellent exercise and if you stop to catch your breath several times, you'll be overwhelmed with beautiful gardens and amazing mountain views. Or take the shuttle you can arrange. The house is well equipped and the beds are comfortable and clean. The bathroom is amazing with a heated towel rack and excellent hot water. We almost never had the TV on but it's there. The entire area is very quiet, which we loved. We also loved the Baren Restaurant down the road-what a lovely dinner we had there one night. Staff were very helpful and the two shuttle drivers we used (only coming and going with luggage) were excellent on those narrow and steep streets.

    We had a fabulous stay at Chalet Panorama. We've been visiting Wengen for 20 years now but this is the first stay at Panorama and with Alpine Holiday Services and we weren't disappointed. The chalet was lovely and really well appointed with everything you'd expect for a great stay and more! It was in a great location, fabulous views, albeit steep hills! Alpine however organised pick ups every morning and afternoon to save the walk! Alpine were great in terms of communicating before the stay and during. Nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend both the chalet and Alpine Holiday Services.

    Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need - even a fondue set! Everything was clean and comfortable. The walk from the rental into the main part of town is very steep, but that wasn't an issue for us.
