The chalet is situated on a private path in a landscape of 6 wood-crafted Wengen chalets in the car limited resort of Wengen which is accessible by train from Lauterbrunnen.
The spacious open plan living-dining-kitchen features a central fireplace embellished with natural materials – a real highlight for those evenings in. From here a vast array of doors open out onto the southwest-facing balcony with breath-taking views of the surrounding mountains.
The master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a raised ceiling with wooden beams and private balcony is well appointed with a king-size (180x200cm) bed. The en-suite bathroom with his and hers sinks, rain shower and romantic circular bathtub is the perfect treat after a day out skiing, hiking or sightseeing.
The second bedroom also features a raised ceiling, private balcony and king-size (180x200cm) bed whilst the third bedroom features 2 singles (each 90x200cm). A state of the art bathroom with rain shower serves these 2 bedrooms.

We even managed to see the milkyway at night from the balcony, a moment we will never forget. The place is clean and communication is top notch. If you are traveling with any elderly in your group or if you have any leg or knee issues please keep in mind there is a steep walk of about 10 minutes to the train station. However, they do provide shuttle service free of charge but once a day only which does come in handy. My suggestion is use the shuttle service in the mornings and walk it down at night. It's much easier to walk it down then up. But if you're planning to stay here you will not regret it. We didn't want to leave and I'm positive you will not want to either. Thank you Rachel and staff for making our stay memorable.

My husband and I were looking for an apartment with a great view, full kitchen, away from the centre of town but not a crazy climb. This penthouse not only met all our expectations but surpassed them. The view was spectacular and there were cattle see more
My husband and I were looking for an apartment with a great view, full kitchen, away from the centre of town but not a crazy climb. This penthouse not only met all our expectations but surpassed them. The view was spectacular and there were cattle with their cowbells that would wonder beneath our balcony at some point each day. The building's elevator opened directly into our apartment on the 3rd floor. We had our own laundry rm on the main floor with a sauna, also. It was about a 7-8 minute gradual downhill from the town centre to the outdoor elevator that took us down to building which reduced effort getting to the unit. Alpine Holiday were great communicators before, during and after the visit. Their office was a 1 minute walk from the train station. We picked up groceries two doors away at the Co-op and then they took us, our luggage and groceries in a van down to the unit which was fantastic! At the end of the stay, we arranged for the van to pick us up and take us to the train station. Can't say enough about this unit and the service we had. It made our Switzerland experience in the mountains a truly memorable one!

Aufgrund der Lage am unteren Ende von Wengen ist der Weg vom Bahnhof etwas beschwerlich, aber für diejenigen, welche das Gepäck nicht selber transportieren möchten, gibt es im Ort Taxis. Dafür belohnt wird man mit einer genialen Aussicht vom Balkon der Wohnung über das Lauterbrunnental. Die Unterkunft ist sehr grosszügig, hell, sonnig und wirklich ausgezeichnet ausgestattet. Insbesondere die Küche liess keine Wünsche offen. Wie erwartet war die Wohnung sehr sauber. Die Schlüsselübergabe verlief problemlos und Rachel als Host war jederzeit erreichbar und half bei allen Problemen. Insgesamt können wir die Unterkunft allen wärmstens empfehlen, die ein paar Tage Auszeit in Wengen planen. Sei es zum Wandern, Biken oder Skifahren.

Stay in this warm and invitingly furnished duplex Wengen apartment in Chalet Luna with two south facing balconies with mountain views from the Jungfrau to the Lobhorn. The entrance hall offering storage space for coats, shoes etc leads up via a solid wooden staircase to the large open plan living area. The living space with wood burning stove offers a convivial space opening out on to the scenic balcony. The large fully equipped kitchen offers dining space for up to 8 people and ample surface space for the preparation of large family meals. This level also offers a twin bedroom and shower room as well as a ladder leading up to a gallery space which makes for a great recreational space.
