    Enjoy your vacation right in the heart of the village of Wengen at Chalet Waldschluecht. This apartment on the second floor with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms is conveniently located just 1 minute from the train station, cable car and village main street.

    Wengen is a charming car limited village. The arrival via cogwheel train from Lauterbrunnen is unique and a real experience.

    The entrance hall with garderobe opens up into the spacious and stylish open plan living-dining-kitchen area with wrap around balcony. The well-equipped and modern kitchen is ideal for preparing family meals and is situated adjacent to the dining area with solid wood table seating 8 people. The inviting living area is perfect for gathering after a day out skiing, hiking or sightseeing and features a flat screen TV.

    The master bedroom is beautifully furnished with a king-size bed with high quality Team7 branded wooden bed frame and matching wardrobe, dresser and bedside tables and features an en-suite shower room. The second bedroom features 2 single beds whilst the third is furnished with a king-size double bed, which can be separated into two single beds. A family bathroom with bathtub is family friendly.

    Furthermore the apartment is complete with Miele washing machine, tumble dryer and communal ski room.

    • Complimentary use of the Central Sport ski, board and boot depot. The depot is located adjacent to the Männlichen cable car within the shop and offers places for more than 1,000 skis, boards and boots. The depot is supervised and is open at the same time as the shop.

    We really enjoyed our stay in this apartment

    The building was very quiet. We never saw any other tenants. The decor was tasteful, modern and clean. The master bedroom had an en-suite with washer which was very practical. There was also a dryer, but except for the first load, we could never get

    The building was very quiet. We never saw any other tenants. The decor was tasteful, modern and clean. The master bedroom had an en-suite with washer which was very practical. There was also a dryer, but except for the first load, we could never get it to dry our clothes, so we used the drying rack. The other two couples shared the main bathroom. They did say the showerhead required you to stand oddly in the corner to get a proper rinsing, but everyone was fresh and clean, so it got the job done. The kitchen was beautiful and modern. We cooked meals in house every night. It had everything you could need. However, the nespresso machine required a complete cleaning before we could use it. Perhaps the host can ensure it is cycled clean between stays. That said, everything else was spotless and the apartment was lovely. The only caveat I can give others is that the apartment is not as private and does not have the great views that others in Wengen might have. To have unobstructed views of the glaciers you would have to walk a bit further and stay higherbelow the main town. What I wasn’t expecting from the pictures were the hundreds of excited passengers disembarking from the trains each 15 mins/half hour and walking on the bridge which is just a few feet away, and at the same level as the balcony, staring and some even taking pictures of the cute chalets. I also wasn’t expecting the spa which, again was at the same level as us, directly next door, with people sittinglaying in bathrobes and bathing suits. Not a big deal, but a bit odd. The master bedroom windows are also facing a close hill with switchback walking paths, so we never felt comfortable just leaving the windows open. We felt a bit in a fishbowl and would have to keep some of the blinds up. We appreciated the blinds that went from the bottom up. That said, what the apartment lacked in privacyviews, it made up for in convenience. It was super quick to run out for milkcroissants. And at the end of the day, tired from hiking, we often found ourselves grateful we didn’t have to hike a further 10 minutes to reach our apartment. It’s more about realistic expectations (do not expect sweeping views and privacy) than about being critical. One more suggestion is to have all written material in one spot. All the other Airbnb’s we stayed at had everything in one binder. This apartment had a binder, a book, and a couple laminated pages. I remembered searching for the exiting instructions and totally missed them. I apologize for missing the instructions. We promptly texted the host letting her know we left the keys in the apartment. Again, we really enjoyed staying in this apartment. Wengen/Mürren/Lauterbrunnen is unbelievably beautiful and we feel blessed to have been able to experience it. We all wish we could have stayed longer!

There is even a big balcony with view to the station and to the village. The departure is easy as well, as you can just clean the apartment - you don't have to do laundry - and deposit the key in the keybox. All in all, it was a perfect stay in both years.

      This luxury Penthouse in Chalet Aberot is considered one of the best apartments in Wengen with stunning views of the Lauterbrunnen valley, famous Jungfrau peak and surrounding mountains. The chalet was built in 2013 in a traditional style to a very high standard and is located on a south facing ledge just below the village and a 350-meter walk from the train station, village mainstreet and ski slopes. The village is car free and only accessible by train from Lauterbrunnen.

      The apartment with open concept living, 2 double bedrooms, a 3rd gallery bedroom and 2 shower rooms comfortably accommodates up to 6 people. The master bedroom with access to the west-facing balcony is lavish and features classic style windows, a 200x200 cm double bed and ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower and WC. The second bedroom offers 2 single beds and the open gallery bedroom has a queensize double (160x200cm). There is a second bathroom with walk-in shower and WC. The upper gallery space is accessed via a pull down wooden stairway.

      Floor to ceiling windows and sliding doors, traditional wooden beams and high-quality furnishings make this Alpine holiday retreat impressive. Two classical style sofas are central to the living space and the dining space with large glass table and designer chairs is nearest the west facing balcony and is great for entertaining or family meals.

      The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering including oven, ceramic hob, fridge, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, steamer, kettle, toaster and the all-important fondue set.

      This apartment in Wengen also has a washing machine and tumble dryer in the in the basement room for the private use of guests and a small shared lock up room for skis, snowboards and sledges.

      The chalet is located in the car limited village of Wengen, accessible by train from Lauterbrunnen.
